Hands up who has gone to the physiotherapist for back pain, for instance, did not do the exercises and wondered why they are not improved? Quite a few of us I am guessing. :)
So creating a program that is doable is essential. After setting a program, we can nip and tuck it to suit you and what is achievable for your pet. This will change as we progress.
Like us, being at an ideal body weight is the most important aspect of reducing pain. This is due to less force on the painful joints from the extra weight and also because fat is an inflammatory organ, that releases enzymes that worsens the pain.
